Has Anyone Received Tortoises From Nigeria
Has anyone recieved tortoises from the people posting from Nigeria on july 18th. They promise all the correct paperwork but it seems alittle fishy. Great prices but is it just a internet scam.

If it looks like fish, and smells like fish, its probably fish. There are so many scams out there right now, I personally wouldn't take the chance, especially if the price looks too good to be true.

Nigeria is a very well known scam artist hot spot. I would follow Gregs advice.

I'm sure there must be some honest business persons in that country, but all we ever hear about is the scam artists. Coincidentally, there's an article on the CNN site today about Nigerian scammers. Even though they're known for fake lottery scams, they seem to have a fair variety of money-making schemes, wouldn't surprise me to find the pet trade is one of them. If reading this article on CNN doesn't make you think twice, then let me know, I've got a few things for sale too
Just a partial quote:
In Festac Town, an entire community of scammers overnights on the Internet. By day they flaunt their smart clothes and cars and hang around the Internet cafes, trading stories about successful cons and near misses, and hatching new plots. When people are free to do as they please, they usually imitate each other.
