Hemlock mulch, safe fo use in snake enclosures?
I would like to have some opinions on using Hemlock mulch in reptile enclosures, snakes to be precise.it is available in most gardening stores for about $12 a bag,and does not have any strong odor to it like cedar does ,.just want to know if it is safe, thanksAnger is a condition in which the tongue works faster than the mind....

I would say no unless its kiln dried.
I doubt it is if its from a garden centre.
Your best option would be any pine of fur bedding for small animals.
I have been using this for over a decade on almost every reptile imaginable.
BUT the bales of bedding I get are kiln dried, this is important.
Obviously Cedar is a huge no no and is deadly to reptiles.Don Patterson Reptiles
