Lesions on jungle carpet python
I have a three-year-old, male jungle carpet python. Recently I have noticed a number of lesions/sores along his body. The lesions themselves are dry and I have never noticed pus/blood. Also, he does not react if I touch them. Below are his specs:
Tank: 36x18x36 Exo Terra
Heating: 90° basking spot; 75° ambient temperature
Substrate: mix of Peat Moss, sphagnum moss, and aspen shavings
Humidity: misted periodically (I understand that there is a great deal of contention around humidity levels for jungle carpets; I use Nick Mutton’s “Jungle Carpet Python: a comprehensive guide recommendations)
Feeding: previously frozen 130 Gram rats, one rat every one-two weeks, depending on his activity levels
Handling: primarily for feeding (generally once every 1 to 2 weeks)
Acquired from: a local breeder, parents in good condition
Previous health issues: none
unfortunately the only Vet within reasonable distance that will see snakes has little experience with them. I’m open somebody has seen similar symptoms and knows what the cause may be. Any advice would help. Thanks.

Need pics ! However I would explore the possibility of burns ?
If not that then maybe something in the cage that could cause this, rough sharp edges maybe.
Beyond this it could be something internal, bacterial infection maybe.Don Patterson Reptiles
